2005 WSOP Event #14June 18, 2005 Seven Card Stud High-Low Split (Eight or Better) Buy-in: $1000 Number of Entries: 595 Total Prize Money: $541,450 Final Table Results 1st Steve Hohn 2nd Mike Wattel 3rd Al Ruck 4th Jonathan Paul 5th Peter Phillips 6th Shiela St. Michael 7th Men "the Master" Nguyen 8th Giacomo DAgostino 9th Russ Salzer Memorable hand: On the 193rd hand of heads-up play (yes, you read that correctly), and after overcoming a 9-to-1 chip deficit, Hohns hand of J-J-8-7-6-5-2 won him both the high and the low after Wattel moved all in with a pair of sevens and a straight draw and missed all of his outs. It was an overwhelmingly meaningful win for the veteran pro Hohn, who had previously finished second and third in this event, but had never won a WSOP bracelet. Other noteworthy finishers were: Paul Darden in 12th; Huck Seed in 13th; and Barry Greenstein in 36th. ![]() DISCLAIMER: Drawdead.com links to sites that may contain gambling
