The flop of Ks-10h-3c gave Kessler the lead with a pair of tens, but the 4d on the turn gave Doyles son a gut-shot straight draw. Brunson needed one of the three remaining fives to win the tournament, and sure enough the 5c hit on the river, making a six-high straight that took both the high and the low pots, to win the tournament. Other noteworthy finishers were: Max Pescatori in 19th; Juan Carlos Mortensen in 33rd; and Scotty Nguyen in 34th.
