Number of Entries: 1,071
Total Prize Money: $1,477,980

Final Table Results:

1st – Thom Werthmann

4th – Martin Green
5th – David “Gunslinger” Bach
6th - Mario Valenzuela
7th – Pierre Nasr
8th – Arash Ganehian
9th – Ernest Patrick

Memorable Hand:
Werthmann, a 35-year-old telecommunications company owner from Detroit, was a major underdog to five-time bracelet winner Layne Flack – especially when Flack had built up a 3-to-1-chip lead over him. But in a crucial hand, Werthmann got all in after the flop with 8-6 and board of 6-3-2, and Flack called with A-9 and a spade draw. Flack didn’t pair up or catch that fifth spade, vaulting Werthmann into the lead for the first time.

Other noteworthy finishers were Al Krux in 13th; Hoyt Corkins in 25th; Nick Frangos in 27th; Jennifer Harman in 28th; and Marcel Luske in 53rd.
