Memorable hand:
The final hand not only earned Witteles a bracelet, but it gave him unofficially the best start to a World Series career ever. Having finished in third place in Event #4 – Witteles’ first ever WSOP tournament – he somehow improved upon that result in this, his second ever WSOP tourney. Witteles (better know to some by his online handle, “Dan Druff”) had a commanding chip lead and got Mixan to move all in with the board of K-8-7-10 with one card to come. Mixan had K-6 for top pair, but Witteles had 10-7 for two pair. Mixan had outs, but the river brought a queen, giving the title to the man who uses a Head & Shoulders bottle as a card protector.

Other noteworthy finishers were Mark Gregorich in 21st place and Daniel Negreanu in 22nd place.
