2009 WSOP Event 14 Results

Event 14, the $2,500 Limit Hold’em/Six handed, of the 2009 World Series of Poker seemed to draw a smaller than normal crowd, that was partly due to the other Hold’em events running at the same time. Still, a total of 367 players entered the tournament.

After 8 levels of play the field had been narrowed by 70%, down to 98 players. It would take until 3am to get to the final 11 players. Just 2 hours into Day 3 and the final table was set. At the end of the day it was Brock Parker who edged out crowd favorite Daniel Negreanu to win his first golf bracelet and $223,688. Negreanu took home $138,280, closing his gap to all time money finisher Jamie Gold.
