2009 WSOP Event 2 Results





This is the 40th Anniversary of the World Series of Poker. To honor the anniversary, a $40,000 No Limit Hold’em event was held. Event #2 of the 2009 WSOP had an impressive 201 players who put up the $40,000 buy in for the event.

This event drew some of the biggest names in poker, including Main Event winners Doyle Brunson and Scotty Nguyen. Some other recognizable players were Ted Forrest, Phil Ivey and Greg Raymer.

The top prize of almost $1.9Million and the bracelet went to 2008 WSOP bracelet winner Vitaly Lunkin after he beat Isaac Haxton in a two hour, 54 hand, heads up play. Haxton picked up just over $1.1 Million for his 2nd place finish.
