2009 WSOP Event 36 Results

Another winner has been crowned, and a first bracelet has been won, by Jordan Smith. After grinding through three days of play and a seven hour final table, Smith would walk away with the bracelet and almost $600K. The field of 1695 entrants contained some very tough competition like Joe Sebok, Andy Black, David ‘Chino’ Rheem, and Kathy Leibert. Two women were among the final nine players. Almira Skripchenko would take seventh place and Laurence Grondin would finish in third.

The chip lead during heads up action would flip flop between Smith and runner up Ken Lennaard several times. The action would last just over two hours before Lennaard had all his remaining chips in the pot and failed to improve on top pair and flush draw. Lennaard takes home $360,439 for his effort
