2009 WSOP Event 40 Results
The 40th event of the 40th Annual World Series of Poker has finished and Matt Graham has captured the title of Pot Limit Omaha World Champion in this $10,000 buy in event. This is Graham’s second gold bracelet. The first one was won at last year’s WSOP in the $1,500 Limit Hold’em Shoot out event. This is Graham’s second cash of this World Series, his first was in Event #5, Pot Limit Omaha.
With this win, Graham took home an impressive $679,379. The three day event saw 295 people put up the $10,000 buy in and came down to an awesome heads up match between Graham and Vitaly Lunkin. They were dead even in chip counts going into heads up action. The two person battle lasted two hours and saw Lunkin heading to the rail finishing in 2nd place and taking home more than $400K.
