2009 WSOP Event 42 Results
After coming up one short in previous WSOP final tables over the last few years, Jerrod Ankenman has finally become the last man standing. In 2006 he had a 2nd place finish, then in 2008 another 2nd place finish. Congratulations to Jerrod Ankenman for winning his first gold bracelet and $241,637 in Event #42, a $2,500 Mixed event. Ankenman outlast 411 other players and in the end was heads up against Sergey Altbregin. The final hand of the match was a No Limit Hold’em one in which Ankenman flopped an open ended straight draw. The turn card of 7 would give Ankenman the straight and the win. Altbregin received $149,342 for being the runner up. Buy-in: $2,500 Final results:
