2009 WSOP Event 45 Results
Event #45 of the 2009 World Series of Poker was the $10,000 Pot Limit Hold’em Championship. With a buy in that large we were sure to see several big named players including Kathy Liebert, Vanessa Rousso, Josh Arieh, Erik Seidel and defending champ Nenad Medic.
This event was expected to see at least 300 players enter but by the end of the day only 275 had started and just 85 of those players would be returning for a second day. As the cards started to fly a quick exit was made by several of the players. Day 2 would end with only 14 of the original entrants coming back.
The third day of play saw just two levels before the final table was reached. Within the first hour of Day 3 four players were sent to the rail. When all was said and done it was John Kabbaj who held all the chips, his first WSOP bracelet and $633,335.
