2009 WSOP Event 9 Results

The Six-handed $1,500 No Limit Hold’em event attracted almost 1500 entrants this year and Tom McEvoy, winner of the Champions Event, was the one to announce ‘Shuffle up and deal’. With a total prize pool of almost $2Million players were eager to get the action started.

Early in the day we had some déjà vu as last years Main Event Winner Peter Eastgate and runner up Ivan Demidov were seated side by side. Some of the early exiters from the game were Justin Bonomo, Jeff Madsen and Bryan Micon.

By the start of Day 2 only 105 players returned for action. Rule 96 was applied to Day 2 as Day 3 would start with the remaining 8 players. Then after 7 hours to get to heads up action and just under 2 hours of the tete-a-tete , it was Ken Aldrige who came out on top over Carman Cavella to win his first WSOP bracelet and $428,259.
