Cyndy Violette Poker Profile![]() Cyndy Violette poker profileCyndy Violette was born on August 19, 1959 in Queesns, New York. In 1971 her family relocated to Las Vegas. Cyndy’s first taste of card playing was at her family’s kitchen table with her Uncle Ross. The first time she tried her card playing skills in a casino was as an adult when she was pregnant with her daughter, Shannon. For a short time, Cyndy was a blackjack and poker dealer in Las Vegas. In 1984 she played in a poker tournament in Lake Tahoe and built up a small bankroll. It was then that she decided to make poker a profession. Soon she was winning some major tournaments, like a 7-Card Stud tournament at the Golden Nugget, in which she won $74,000 – the most money ever won by a female poker player up to that point. She was also featured in a “Playboy” magazine article. During that time she was featured in several other articles and on TV shows. She also met her second husband around that time. Cyndy took a two year leave from poker after getting married. In 1990, Cyndy took a trip to Caesars Palace and the urge to play in a poker tournament was overwhelming for her. She ended up winning that tournament and $62,000 and was once again hooked on poker. Even though she was living in Washington state at the time, she made frequent visits to the poker tables in Las Vegas and Los Angeles. In 1993, Cyndy got divorced and went to Atlantic City because she had heard that they were legalizing poker. She spent that summer at the Taj Majah Hotel and Casino and in the spring of 1994 she moved to Atlantic City. After several years of professional poker playing and money wins in major tournaments Cyndy achieved a major dream of hers in 2004. She won the World Series of Pokers’ 7-Card Stud Hi/Lo tournament. In the following years World Series of Poker Cyndy made three final table appearances and six cashes. She has been featured on "The Superstars of Poker" on Fox Sports Net, "Poker Royale Pro/Celebrity Tournament" on the Game Show Network, and the World Series of Poker Tournament on ESPN. She is currently creating a "Positive Poker Affirmations" CD. Today, with the poker industry going full speed ahead, she spends most of her time living in Las Vegas and Los Angeles, where she regularly plays in cash games and attends most of the major tournaments while working on her line of Poker oriented clothing and inspirational items.
