Joe Sebok was born in 1977 and was raised in California. At age 6 his mother married poker pro, Barry Greenstein. Sebok grew up into one of the most competitive players around. Sports competition didn’t fulfill Joe’s competitive spirit, partly because it didn’t provide the challenges Joe wanted and party because as he puts it “he was a 5’8” inch white boy with limited physical gifts’’. Sebok attended Berkeley University in California. Soon he was working in the dot-com industry but decided that wasn’t’ the right place for him. In 2002 he left his job and drove cross-country. After his cross-country trip he was set to attend business school until he found poker. Having a world champion player as a father can be helpful. Greenstein assured Sebok that he could make it in the world of professional poker and Sebok took the challenge. The rest is history. Joe Sebok currently resides in California. Player Stats
