Mike the Mouth Matusow began playing poker in 1986 and got his nickname because he loves to talk at the table. Mike 'The Mouth' Matusow became a member of the poker industry when his first job was dealing poker at a Vegas casino. He quickly learned his real talent waas playing the game. Late night Omaha games at Sam's Town Poker Room taught Mike the finer points of playing winning poker. His success in these games convinced Mike he should quit dealing and begin playing full time There are some that consider him a true entertainer of the game. And yet others that consider him to be one of the most annoying players in the game. He is know in the poker world for making huge misjudgments when on the verge of victory.

Matusow also has a bit of scandal surrounding him. In 2003, Las Vegas police nabbed him for a drug violation and he spent 6 months in prison. But what good is poker without a scandal here and there?

On February 7th, 2006, Spike TV aired King Of Vegas, where Matusow was defeated in a Texas Holdem deathmatch by Evelyn Ng.

Mike is considered to be the best Omaha poker player in the world. His style of passive aggressive play and verbal humor, hence the nickname, 'The Mouth.' mike is a very emotional player and doesn't hesitate to express his feelings at or away from the table.

Mike currently resides in Las Vegas.
