US Poker - Online Poker sites that allow USA Players

US Poker

For the past few years, US Poker Pros as well as casual players have found it more difficult to find a good online poker room. They have also had problems finding ways to fund their online play. Poker in the US has become increasingly popular over the past few years thanks in part to the explosiveness of the World Series of Poker.

In 2006 the United States passed a bill known as te UIGEA, Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act. With the passing of the bill, US poker players have become more confused and somewhat misinformed about what, if any, online gambling is legal for them. The UIGEA was mainly focused at US financial institutions and made it almost impossible for US poker players to fund their gaming accounts. Many online poker rooms closed their doors to US players but a few remained open, like Pokerstars, Carbon Poker and Full Tilt Poker.

us Poker Because of the regulations in the US, including the UIGEA, US poker players will need to look carefully when deciding which online poker rooms to play. The UIGEA and US Poker

Back in 2006 when the US government passed the Safe Port Act there was a little hidden part of the bill called te Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act. As stated, this bill made it illegal for financial institutions to process payments made to online poker sites. As it is written, it isn't illegal for US poker players to play poker at online poker rooms. More players are getting involved in backing of legislation to repeal the UIGEA.

There are a few US states where gambling is legal, like Nevada. Some of those states are getting into the online gaming market. Many other states are also pursuing options for developing online gaming sites. There are governement leaders in the US that understand the impact legalizing online gaming would have for economic growth if winnings were to be taxed.

New developments in US Poker are coming out almost daily as online gaming companies and US poker players are pushing for a regulated market.
