European Poker Tour (EPT) Deauville Schedule Now Out
The Casino Barri?re located in Deauville, France will be holding the European Poker Tour (EPT) from January 22 to February 1, 2014. It will feature the following events: Season 3 of France Poker Series (FPS) Grand Finals (Jan. 22-26) which will feature the EPT €5,300 Main Event, a €10,300 EPT High Roller, and a €2,500 FPS High Roller.
This tour will also include the Global Poker Index (GPI) European Poker Awards 12th edition on Jan. 29 as part of the EPT Deauville festival. The top poker players of Europe will surely be in attendance and everybody else who is working in Europe’s poker industry in order to celebrate what European Poker has to offer which is only the best.
According to the President of the Global Poker Index Alexandre Dreyfus, the European Poker Awards will also give recognition to the best European poker players in 2013. In this event, a lot of things will be celebrated — the players’ achievements, sense of competition and efforts made all throughout the past year.
The European Poker Tour (EPT) is open to everyone – players, media, fans and spectators. It will serve as a great chance to show what poker really is to the public, that poker is not just a competition but is a game of fun as well that any person can play.
This will be EPT’s 7th time in Deauville. However, it will be EPT’s first time that the rule on international min-raise shall be enforced so players can make small raises bringing about a lot more pre-flop betting action
In 2013, it was Remi Castaignon who was awarded the crown at the EPT9 Deauville Main Event defeating a total of 782 players and bringing home €770,000 first place cash prize. He was the eighth French player to get an EPT title.
