Horseshoe Cincinnati Opens Its 1st QCC on March 13
The first annual Queen City Classic (QCC) will be hosted by the Horseshoe Cincinnati starting March 13th all the way through the 24th. It will be a twelve-day series featuring $500K in extra prizes. The $100,000 first-place guarantee opening event will have a buy-in of $260 while the Main Event will have a buy-in of $1500.
This tournament series is self-branded by Ohio and it is very unique in the Buckeye State. It will start with a re-entry event with a $260 buy-in showcasing a guaranteed prize pool of $500K plus 6 starting flights, each allowing unlimited re-entry.
Those who become “double qualifiers”, meaning those who will advance from multiple starting flights, will receive a $2K bonus. It will be paid out after a player’s first for each Day 2 berth earned. This means that players can then advance from all 6 starting flights, earn $10K in bonuses and still vie for the $100K first place cash prize. These double qualifiers will get their biggest stack on Day 2.
As for the $1,500 Main Event in the series, it will start on the 21st of March. And just like the Opener players, players here will also be allowed unlimited re-entry. Players who advance from Day1A can join Day 1B and they will bring their largest stack to Day 2.
There will also be a 5-tournament bounty series hosted by QCC. Every night at 5:00 PM, the $200 events will run between the 18th of March to the 22nd. Each time a player gets to eliminate an opponent, $50 bounty bonus will be awarded to the player who eliminated another player. Towards the end of the series, the top 54 players will all come together and battle each other at the $25K freeroll. These 54 players will consist of the top five players with the most bounties each night not including the winner, 5 tournament winners (total of 25) and the top 24 total bounty leaders.
The players who get to win in many Bounty Series tournaments or those who get to be at the top 5 more than once will get extra 3,000 chips for the championship every time they get qualified.
Lastly, the QCC will also give a Turbo Series showcasing ten tournaments every day from 2 pm on March 13-23. These tournaments will be independent of each other but will be inclusive in the eleven tournaments in the Turbo Series. Towards the end of this 11-tournament Turbo Series, the ones on top ten will get a slice of the $30K pie where $10K of that will go the one with the most points.
